Built by Israeli high-tech veterans.
Amplified by AI.
Codyssey Ltd is a Bulgarian company, built by Israeli high-tech veterans. A senior boutique DevOps and DevSecOps practice — one principal, not a team — that has been shipping production infrastructure since 2007. We do not simply take on your DevOps as an outsourced service. We embed, improve, and transfer: building workflows and methodologies, educating your team, and leaving your internal knowledge base richer than we found it.
The company
Codyssey has been operating since 2007. We are a Bulgarian company, built by Israeli high-tech veterans — the operating discipline, the security posture, and the production mindset come out of Israeli high-tech; the legal entity, Codyssey Ltd, was established in Bulgaria in 2018 and brings the EU market access. "Engineered by Israeli high-tech veterans" is on the footer for a reason: the engineering culture is the part that matters, and it is the part that does not move when the company is incorporated somewhere else.
We are a senior boutique practice, not a staffing firm and not a platform company. The work that ships is the work the principal signs off on. There is no junior bench, no offshore delivery arm, no account manager between you and the engineer who runs your infrastructure. If that model sounds limited, it is — on purpose. One principal can only own so many production systems honestly, and we would rather turn down work than dilute accountability.
The principal
The principal behind Codyssey has been in IT and high-tech since 1992 — decades of hands-on experience across architecture, infrastructure, security, and production operations. The kind of experience that comes from being paged at 3 a.m. for systems that could not go down, and from fixing them under pressure enough times that the fixes become instinct. We do not lead with titles or certifications. We lead with the work, because the work is what a client buys.
What that experience means in practice: the architecture is drawn by someone who has operated the components, the OpenTofu configuration is written by someone who has debugged the drift, and the on-call is held by someone who has seen the failure mode before. Senior is not a label. It is the difference between an architecture that looks right and one that is right at 3 a.m. on a Sunday.
The cheapest way to run infrastructure is to have the person who designed it be the person who gets paged for it. Architecture decisions get honest fast when the architect owns the on-call.— Operating principle, Codyssey Ltd
Our philosophy
Six pillars. They are not aspirational — they are how we actually work, and they are the filter we use when deciding whether to take on an engagement.
- Build to transfer. We design and implement workflows proven on real production workloads with the goal that your team can maintain and improve them. Our value is measured by how much routine we remove from ourselves and how capable your team becomes, not by how long we stay on the account.
- Open source as strategy. open source over per-seat proprietary, chosen on capability and cost — not ideology. When proprietary earns its place, we say so and we show the math.
- AI augmentation. Agents handle the toil — log triage, dependency scanning, draft runbooks. The principal holds the decisions. AI multiplies senior judgment; it does not replace it.
- Full lifecycle ownership. A single principal across design, build, deploy, operate, support, improve. No handoff gaps, no finger-pointing, no architect who has never been paged.
- Proactive risk and incident prevention. We tune for reliability before the incident, not after. Every pattern we detect, every hardening step, every alert threshold is captured so your team can prevent the next fire, not just fight it.
- Knowledge sharing and customer knowledge base. We document what we build and why, and we keep it in your knowledge base. Clients get the workflows, the runbooks, the reasoning, and a team that knows how to use them — not a black box and a phone number.
The cognitive system
The AI augmentation is not a slide. It is a working cognitive system, production-tested, that runs against the same infrastructure we operate for clients. Each component has a job, and the jobs connect.
- Knowledge base search. Built on Onyx. Architecture decisions, runbooks, operational lessons, RCAs. The memory the agents read before they draft, and the place their corrections land.
- Agent orchestration. Routes work to the right agent, sequences multi-step tasks, and keeps the principal in the loop on anything that touches production.
- Agents platform. The model layer, using LiteLLM. Routes prompts to the right model, manages cost and latency, and keeps the agent calls observable.
- A2A (agent-to-agent protocol). The runtime agents execute in. Sandboxed, logged, and reviewable. No agent ships a change to production without a human sign-off.
We track time — ours and the agents' — so the cost model is honest and the "AI saves time" claim is something we can actually show you on a dashboard instead of asserting in a meeting.
Partnerships
We are partner-first, not vendor-first. That means we are interested in customer success, not just professional services delivery. We build and establish mature workflows, then hand them to your team with the knowledge to keep them healthy. You stay responsible for the routine; we keep responsibility for the architecture and the hard calls. That is how routine overhead shrinks and we both get to move on to the next interesting challenge.
Codyssey Ltd is an independent Bulgarian company with no legal relation to any other entity. EU market access is direct — we operate across the EU from our Bulgarian base, with on-site engagement available where the work requires it. The engineering culture is Israeli high-tech; the legal entity and jurisdiction are Bulgarian. One accountable principal either way.
References are available by request, under NDA. We work in fintech, defense, high-tech manufacturing, and SMB IT. We do not publish customer names or case studies with identifying details, because the kind of infrastructure we run is the kind people do not want advertised. If you need proof, we will provide it privately, to the extent the relevant NDA allows.
Want a senior partner on your infrastructure?
We take on a small number of selected engagements. If you want one principal who owns the full lifecycle — and the cognitive system behind it — let's talk.
